Schumann: Five Pieces in Folk Style, Op. 102
Hindemith: Sonate für Violoncello solo, Op. 25, No. 3 Webern: Drei kleine Stücke, op. 11 Brahms: Sonata in D Major for Cello and Piano, Op. 78, "Rain

Schoenberg's essays raised questions musicians had pondered and continue to grapple with to this day. Hear some of the enchanting, riveting, compelling and hauntingly beautiful answers in these works by four great German composers, performed by cellist Miriam Shames and pianist Tonya Siderius.

The Goldberg Project
Program II: Sunday,
March 7, 2010; 4:00 pm

Bring the whole family to this event featuring SCCS’s Young Chamber Players director, Amy Grinsteiner, in a solo recital with a new twist. Young artists from Lakewood’s Clover Park School District will draw artwork for each of Bach’s “Goldberg Variations” as performed by Ms. Grinsteiner. Come and experience the music itself, along with impressions of Bach’s masterpiece by Tacoma’s youngest visual artists!
